Montague Street was a top-floor West End flat bought through an executry sale. The property was full of belongings, had no proper modern finish and needed a full clear-out before the real refurbishment could begin.
This was a strong West End project because the fundamentals were there: location, scale, top-floor light, attic access and demand from buyers who wanted the West End lifestyle without paying the very top end of Byres Road pricing.
